Pretty Diamond Cloth
Made entirely with knit and purl stitches this is a pretty cloth. Even though it isn't reversible but it has a pretty backside
Materials
Aprox. 1 skein madrin soft or Sugar and cream will do.
Gauge unimportant
Needle Size: 5 (US size 8)
Note: Always slip 1st of every row as if to knit with yarn in front this gives a nice chained selvedge.
Blocking: Do not press this will flatten the purl bumps wet cloth and lay flat to dry.
Multiple of 8 st
Row 1: *P1, k7 rep from*.
Rows 2 and 8: *K1, p5, k1, p1 rep from *.
Rows 3 and 7: *K2, p1, k3, p1, k1; rep from *.
Row 4 and 6: *P2, k1, p1, k1, p3; rep from *.
Row 5: *K4, p1, k3: rep from *.
Repeat rows 1-8
Pretty Diamond cloth:
Cast on 50 sts, and knit 4 rows in garter stitch.
Begin pattern and continue until cloth is about 9 inches high.
Knit 4 rows, cast off in knit. When 1 stitch remain on needle cast on 2 sts and make an icord long enough for hanging. Cast off and sew to corner of cloth.
