Eyelets on the Diagonal Hand towelThis is a very pretty cloth. I used varigated yarn and feel the yo help broke up the varigations a bit. I think both sides are pretty although the wrong side is purled. If you have any question, please send them to me stating pattern and problems you enounter.
Materials:
Worsted weight cotton Size 7 US Cloth size 11 X 11 Pattern is a multiple of 6 stitches plus 2 plus 2 edge stitches. Edge stitches are worked as part of the border. Notes: Keep first and last 5 stitches in seed stitch. Don't count cast on row as row 1. Pattern: Row 1: K2 *k3, k2tog, yo, k1 rep from *. Row 2: purl even numbered rows. Row 3: k2, *k2, k2tog, yo, k2* rep from *. Row 5: k2, *k1, k2 tog, yo, k3 rep from * Row 7: k2, *k2tog, yo, k4 rep from *. Row 9: k1, *k2 tog, yo, k4*, rep from * end k1. Row 11: k2 tog *yo, k4* rep from* end k2 tog, yo. Eyelets on the Diaognal Hand Towel: Cast on 48 stitches loosely work 5 rows in seed stitch. Seed stitch over 5 sts, pm, work row 1 of pattern over 38 stitches pm, seed stitch over last 5 stitches. Row 2 and all even numbered rows. Seed stitch over first 5 stitches slip marker purl over 38 stitches slip marker, seed stitch over last 5 stitches. Continue in pattern as established until cloth is about 11 inches long or length you desire. Purl one row and cast off. Weave in ends. |
