Sunshine Dishcloth

Variegated yarn combination of purl and knit stitches make the peferct reversible dishcloth. Pretty and reversible, easy for the beginner.
Materials:
1 ball variegated worsted weight yarn of your choice.
Size 5 (US 8 mm) knitting needles
Gauge not important.
Stitch multiple: 8 stitches + 4 + 3 extra stitches each side for garter stitch border
Pattern stitch:
1st row: (RS) *k4, p4; repeat from * to last 4 sts. k4.
2nd and all alt rows: K all k sts and p all p sts as they appear
3rd row: purl
5th row: as 1st row
7th row: k
8th row: as 2nd row
Repeat rows 1 to 8 for pattern.
Garter stitch border: k 5 rows garter stitch, keep first and last 3 stitch in garter stitch.
Sunshine Dishcloth:
Cast on 50 sts and begin garter stitch border above continue for 5 rows.
Begin pattern stitch and continue as estblished until cloth measure about 9.5 inches ending on row 3. Work 5 rows garter stitch, cast off and weave in any loose ends.
